I realise I’m not exactly Mr Current Affairs here but just saw that Aaron has been let go by the club. Seems a strange one, no? He doesn’t seem happy about it either.
I only got to see one game this season and he looked very capable when called upon. He seems to have had glowing reports from others in match reports and personal opinions.
Hope this is not going to cost us. You need a solid keeper between the sticks if you’re going to win anything.

There's a fair whiff of nepotism about the club at the moment.
Watkins performed very well as the match reports will attest. Coming in at the last minute when Pazio left on the brink of the season starting, he was a great find.
Hopefully Rhys Forster will be at least as good. The manager must think so.
The club's letting some serious talent leave at the moment. A team which did well under Simon Lane until things started to go wrong in the last few weeks of his reign. Lane's squad never seemed short of talent, it just came off the rails for reasons I don't know. It would be good if the club made long-term strategic decisions about players, we have a Director of Football after all, but maybe that's naive thinking in the world of non-league football!
A new manager will inevitably change things, that's why they're hired, it's just a bit dispiriting as a fan to see players who have performed well being let go for as yet unproven replacements. Talk at the pre-season fans meeting of players being invested in HYUFC and feeling a passion for the club sounds rather hollow now - loyalty is a two-way street.
Time and results will tell. If Jamie Tompkins' changes secure us a play-off place then there's little complaint about the club's recruitment decisions. If not, then the strategy doesn't look so good.

Hopefully the reasons behind the decisions will be made apparent at tonight's Club Q&A
