A result has appeared on the Slough Town website shows the result as a 2-3 away win for Hayes.
I would’ve thought positive results might encourage the sluggish season ticket sales to improve.
Nothing on the two previous matches only so has the promise of improved communication has stalled.
I don’t do Facebook or Twitter so rely on the club.

Apparently….Our Manager has requested that the Players and Results are kept “secret” to stop other Clubs Poaching. Seems a good idea to me!

Baldrick:, Sir, Sir, I have a plan to stop our players being poached!

Blackadder: Is it by any chance a cunning plan?

Baldrick: Yes Sir, as cunning as a plan thought up by Mr Fox the most cunning fox in Foxland.

Blackadder: Very well, go ahead…

Baldrick: Well Sir, when a new player joins us, we let everyone know on Facebook and X and all those places and publish their picture and let everyone know all about them, spread the message far and wide! Then we let everyone know when and where they’re playing and invite them to come and watch!

Blackadder: Carry on Balidrick…

Baldrick: But Sir, and this is the really cunning bit, we don’t tell anyone what happened, if you want to know the score you need to see what the other side has said, they’ll never think of coming along to watch the match and be able to easily recognise our players.

Blackadder: And when the season starts…?

Baldrick: Oh yes Sir, the message spread far and wide again, the Seven Day Approach rule, they’re quite welcome to poach who they want then, nothing to stop 'em, is there?, match reports, videos the whole lot!

Blackadder: Genius Baldrick, pure genius.

Haha, brilliant!

Whilst my thoughts were not that funny, the same premise did occur to me. We have announced who we've signed. It's even on our official website. But we're just not telling anyone whether or not they're playing.

A long standing, well connected, Slough Town Supporter advised me that it was down to 3 goalkeeping errors.
He could of course be making an excuse for losing to lowly Hayes!!!

Isn't the apparent secrecy more to do with 'trialists' turning out in friendlies, rather than players who've already been announced?
If a bigger, waelthier club want to nick them then theres nothing you can do about it anyway.
